Scheduled task never kicks in. "Account information could not be set" exception is thrown

Question:

I tried to schedule a migration job, but the scheduler never kicks in. I was able to validate the task settings, but it seems the Windows scheduler is not setting up correctly. The task properties panel will show the next run time but when the time passed, the job never started. How to force the task to run?

Answer:

Dockit will use the user credential which you provide in Run As under Schedule settings to initiate/trigger the scheduled task. Dockit will use the user credential specified in Connect to SharePoint as to connect the SharePoint site. Thisbehavior is more likely to be observed if Network access: Do not allow storage of passwords and credentials for network authentication policy is [Enabled].

If Network access: Do not allow storage of passwords and credentials for network authentication policy is [Enabled], change the setting if necessary and re-schedule the task. You can find this setting under [Local Security Policy –> Security Settings –> Local Policies –> Security Options] in the following operating systems:

Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows10, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Vista, Windows XP.
